In the eightieth anniversary of the end of WWII, the administration of Battipaglia, Eboli, Montecorvino Pugliano, Montecorvino Rovella, Olevano sul Tusciano e Salerno plan to commemorate with a special initiative the Salerno landing in 1943, which took place over an area of 40 km from Maiori to Sapri, the largest amphibious operation in the Mediterranean.

The initiative promoted by the Mubat association has prepared am use dossier full of information and images. It has been submitted to Ministry of Culture for a first step, a pre selection of 2 candidates among all received proposal. UE will assign the Heritage Label in 2025
